Researchers from the Priority Program present their findings and insights on the megacity of Dhaka, Bangladesh´s capital city: geographers, planners, public health experts, and economists focus on one of the world´s fastest-growing cities. Four projects in progress will be presented and discussed; these involve informal settlements, securing the food supply, and the health situation of the population, as well as informal economic organization in the megacity.
